In Celebration of Home Baking

Noshy cookies aren’t baked at home – we’ve had a commercial kitchen since the start because we wanted to ship to our customers and their friends and family all over the country.

But the path towards Noshy started at home – long before it was ever an idea – in the kitchen, with my Dad.  It wasn’t about the skills learned (though I did learn some), or the cookies eaten (oh boy, did we some eat cookies!), but about the time spent and the connections created – both together while making them, and then with friends and neighbors when we delivered boxes filled to the brim with deliciousness.

October 1st was National Homemade Cookies Day and we would have made a big deal about it on the day, but we were closed down for our long overdue honeymoon. (Which was amazing, if you were wondering.)

But even being on the other side of the world, meeting new people, eating new things, seeing new sights, I was able to participate in that cherished ritual of time in the kitchen with loved ones.

Eva’s Animals (our Animal Crackers) are so named for my goddaughter, Eva. Because she lives on the other side of the world, I met her in person at her christening and then watched her grow from afar, through hard-to-schedule video chats (thanks a lot, timezones) and photo postcards. While my husband and I were travelling, we met up with her and her family again. She’s now a smart and creative five year old and I had the privilege of making her namesake cookies with her.

She took her cookies to classmates the next day, and I loved watching her take such care choosing which animal would be appreciated by each of her friends. And so the cycle continues. Bonds forged in the kitchen, bonds forged over food.

Even though we make our cookies in a stainless steel commercial kitchen, it’s not without heart. Our team is like family and while some days there’s “less talking, more baking,” the essence of homemade baking is preserved.

We’re proud to make cookies for you to enjoy yourself, with friends, family, coworkers, or clients. Anytime you need a little nosh, want to express yourself with cookies, say thank you to a client, or celebrate, we are here to help make life more memorably scrumptious.

Thank you for letting us be part of your family and thank you for being part of ours.
